Our main focus has been training dogs for the law enforcement community and we are licensed with the State of Texas, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. Our trained Narcotic Detector dogs are serving law enforcement through out the U.S. Our staff consist of trainers and handlers with many years of experience. Southern Star Ranch K9 Training Center is located in Florence, Texas (just northwest of Austin).

I realize that you are looking for a Bed Bug Dog and not a dog for law enforcement. However I just wanted you to know that we have been training detection dogs for many years unlike some of the companies that have popped up in an effort to cash in on the BedBug craze. Our dogs are put through a minimum of 12 weeks extensive training. Every endeavor is made to provide training that is as realistic as possible. In this fashion the K-9 teams are prepared for the problems they encounter in their actual work environment when they return to duty.

Wayne Booth, our manager has been active in dog training for over 30 years. He is a Certified Master Trainer and has trained several hundred dogs. Mr. Booth routinely conducts training classes and seminars for police departments, sheriff departments, correctional facilities, foreign governments and private security companies.
